November 30, 2007 Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig delivered a greeting to approximately 100 people who attended the opening of an art exhibit at the Quedlinburg Castle Museum on the evening of November 30, displaying works by resident American artist Laurel Lueders and her German colleague, Martin Straka. Lueders, who has seen her abstract work successfully exhibited in New York three times this year alone, has made a significant artistic impact on historic city of Quedlinburg. The artists both stressed how collaborations of this type involving American and eastern German artists, have flourished since 1990. Among those in attendance was Quedlinburg Mayor Dr. Brecht.
