December 5, 2007
American Consulate staffer Kirsten Teschauer lectured at the Moelkau Community Library to twenty 8th and 9th graders from a secondary school about the U.S. education system.  She also took questions on U.S. society and discussed differences between the German and American school systems.  Leipzig’s Information Resource Center (IRC) director also briefly talked about U.S. resources and websites, and presented the 2008 “World Almanac” and a selected “World Book Encyclopedia” to the school library. The “Meet US” program at the Moelkau library, initiated in 2004 with a book donation, has become an annual event.
