Consul Wenig Addresses Sondershausen Students on U.S. Election Campaign

January 29, 2008. Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig and Cultural Assistant Zoe Kusmierz traveled to Sondershausen, northern Thuringia, where Wenig addressed a combined class of about 30 students who are taking an advanced English course at the Geschwister Scholl Gymnasium. After introducing the work of the Consulate and U.S. diplomats, Wenig briefed the students on the workings of American political system with an emphasis on the current presidential campaign, including a review of the candidates.
