Leipzig Consul Addresses Students, English Teachers in Southern Saxony

Leipzig Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig and the Information Resource Center (IRC) assistant participated in the second “America Day” at the city library in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) town of Annaberg-Buchholz. Wenig, who was joined by a representative of the Chemnitz Crusaders (American) football team, addressed two groups of students and English teachers from the district, focusing on sports in America. The IRC assistant talked about IRC services, distributed brochures and CD-Roms about the USA, and gave two presention books to the library on U.S. society. The Consulate visitors were also welcomed by Annaberg-Buchholz Lord Mayor Barbara Klepsch, who attended one of the student programs.
