June 19, 2008. Leipzig Consulate General staffer Kirsten Teschauer and U.S. intern Lindsey Moore engaged thirty 11th grade students at a Vacha high school in a lively discussion on cultural differences. The "Meet US" program was the fourth in as many years organized by Marko Braungarten, 2004 participant in the Eastern German Teachers Visitor Program (EGTVP). After two 10th grade students opened the program with a presentation on American and German eating habits, the director of the Information Resource Center (IRC), Thea Bohse, spoke about Consulate and IRC products and services, introduced USA brochures and pamphlets from the State Department, and distributed a list of relevant websites.
