In connection with his visit to Torgau, Consul General Mark Scheland discussed U.S. foreign policy with about 60 students from the Johann-Walter-Gymnasium. The students engaged in conversations on American views about the Iraq war and strategy, political opportunities for women in the United States, and American perceptions of German culture. After the discussion, the Consul General presented the school library with a book donation of American atlases.
