October 28, 2008. Leipzig Consul General Katherine Brucker joined Dresden International School Director Chrissie Sorenson for a one-hour radio special on MDR 1 Radio Saxony to talk about their impressions of Saxony and German-American relations. In addition to describing what Americans think of when someone mentions "Germany," the two detailed the warm reception both enjoyed since arriving in Saxony in late summer. With the presidential election only a week away at the time, they also explained the electoral system in the United States, from registration and campaigning, to conduct of the election itself as well as the Electoral College.
