Consul For Public Affairs Welcomes Young American Musicians In Saxony Anhalt
June 27, 2008. Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig delivered a greeting on behalf of the Consulate to 62 young musicians from the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, who performed a concert in the Saxon-Anhalt town of Loitsche, just north of Magdeburg. The students, along with their director and several adult administrators, are on a three-week tour of Europe to showcase their skills and foster international understanding. The camp regularly includes towns in this area of Saxon Anhalt on their summer music tours. The musical program included works by American and international composers and ended with "Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Phillip Sousa. Consul Wenig delivering a greeting
