“Meet US” Makes It to Mockau

. Leipzig’s public library branch in Mockau hosted its first ever U.S.-related program. In the combined framework of the well-established “Meet US” and "America@YourLibrary” programs, Consul General Mark Scheland gave a lecture and presentation on the presidential elections to an audience of 25 10th and 11th graders from Brockhaus Gymnasium. Dr. Arne Ackermann, Director of Leipzig’s Public Library delivered the welcoming note for Consul General Scheland. Further attendees included two English teachers and Frau Heike Scholl, PR staffer at the Public Library. The Information Resource Center (IRC) Director presented brochures and pamphlets on U.S. politics and society to the public library.
