July 15, 2009. Leipzig Consul General Katherine Brucker was welcomed by the team of Radio Mephisto 97.6, the local university radio station which has been an important player on the Leipzig media scene for over ten years. After a tour of the station, Consul General explained in an interview the functions of a diplomat, her personal and professional impressions of eastern Germany, and why the general enthusiasm for President Obama makes it easier to reach out to the general public and multipliers alike.
