Reaching out to Thuringian Teachers

Sixteen English teachers from Thuringia attended an English teacher's workshop at Meiningen public library. U.S. intern Shanon Self did a presentation on intercultural differences and engaged the teachers in a lively discussion on American and German stereotypes. Leipzig's Information Resource Center (IRC) director introduced the group to Consulate programs and services and IRC resources, and donated a small collection of current American books to the library.
