Consulate General Leipzig Represented At All-Day Info-Fair
June 25, 2008. Under the motto, "Go Out - Study Abroad," Leipzig University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) hosted their first ever information fair for students and faculty. Consulate staffer Birgit Kämmer was among the invited guest speakers, who informed students about the U.S. system of higher education, explained financial aid programs, and discussed the impact of the new European degree system on exchange programs. In addition, she took questions about the visa application process. The presentations reached a total of 170 students and promoted the U.S. as an excellent place for higher education.
