Leipzig Students Win Trip To Sister City

May 29, 2008. Having proven their knowledge of U.S. history and language, and above all of Houston, TX, the three winners of the “Leipzig Meets Houston” high school student competition rejoiced after being announced at an event jointly staged by the Leipzig City International Office and the local Leipzig-Houston Sister City Association. After addressing the audience, Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig presented a book collection to each of the winners, who will all travel to Houston this fall. This year, students from eight Leipzig schools entered the competition.
