Consul Mark Wenig lectures at Bergakademie Freiberg

Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig continued his regular engagement for the annual summer semester class on U.S. cultural studies launched by Prof. Dr. Michael Hinner, who holds the chair of Business English at technical university Bergakademie Freiberg. Focusing on the U.S. presidential elections 2008, Wenig outlined the electoral system and profiled the candidates. The session continued with Q&A on subjects such as campaign finance, the Electoral College, climate change and the environment. In addition, an Information Resource Center staffer outlined authoritative resources for information about the United States.
