January 24, 2008.
New York based writer John Haskell, who currently teaches as Picador guest Professor at Leipzig University’s American Studies Institute, read from his collection of short stories "I am not Jackson Pollock." Consulate General Leipzig supported the reading, which was attended by an audience of some 60 (mostly students) and took place in the context of the exhibition “Island People” in the Grassi Museum for Folk Art in Leipzig. Dr. Claus Deimel, director of the museum, delivered the introductory remarks.
