Explaining U.S. Higher Education

June 19, 2008. As part of Consulate General Leipzig's outreach to institutions of higher education in the consular district, staffer Birgit Kämmer traveled to the Technical University Freiberg to address educational opportunities in the U.S. The 23 (mostly) undergraduate students received up-to-date information about the U.S. system of higher education, grant programs, and current visa regulations. Kämmer also explained in detail how to organize an internship in the U.S., which continues to be an effective tool for students at technical universities to broaden their practical job skills.
