F/Stop Festival With U.S. Participation
July 16-20, 2008. Though only in its second year, the “F/Stop Festival” has become a major venue for presenting contemporary photography. A grant by the U.S. Consulate Leipzig supported the exhibition of three U.S. artists, Meggan Gould, Nicholas Prior, and Keri Picket. Their works had been previously selected by the international festival jury. Gould’s photographs were presented in the context of the group exhibit entitled “Closer – nearness and distance“. Though it ran for just five days, the festival drew 5000 visitors.
