Promoting Esta On The Airways

October 27, 2008. One million listeners of MDR 1 Radio Sachsen learned about ESTA, the electronic system for travel authorization, which will become effective on January 12. The radio special featured Berlin Consular Officer David Stewart who made a persuasive pitch for the new entry rules as making travel to the U.S. “easier, faster, more convenient and less bureaucratic.” Stewart also pointed out that the number of German tourists to the U.S. is still on the rise thus demonstrating America’s ongoing attractiveness to German visitors.
