Teacher Workshops Under America@Your Library Umbrella

The winners of the election quiz prizes

November 6, 2008. The Information Resource Center (IRC) teamed up for the second time with the Erfurt Public Library on a teacher workshop, which was also certified by the Thuringian School Authorities. In her welcome remarks, Erfurt Library Director Monika Waldheim underscored the importance of the A@YL partnership, founded in 2006. Following an IRC overview of mission products and services, Scott Galvao - an American citizen living and working in Leipzig - introduced his home state New Mexico, and explained the presidential election to the 28 English teachers in attendance. With the small book collection handed over by the IRC Director, the library will be able to bring its U.S. collection up to date.
