Leipzig Conversation Group Debates Facets of the U.S.

American Fulbright teaching assistant Larissa Pahomov

The conversation group participants celebrate Larissa Pahomov's farewell

July 5, 2007
American Fulbright teaching assistant Larissa Pahomov, who had been running the post’s English-language conversation group since October 2006, was given a farewell by participants. Consulate General Leipzig offers this weekly event on Thursday afternoons to the general public, bringing together people from all walks of life for an exchange about current U.S. related issues. The discussion is led by native speakers, who provide newspaper articles as background information about current events, politics, society and life in the United States to kick off the discussion. The group is open to everyone but requires registration beforehand.
