June 23, 2008. Consulate General Leipzig took advantage of a research trip that brought Mitchell Cohen, Professor of Political Science at Bernard Baruch College, to Saxony and connected him with the Leipzig American Studies Institute. Prof. Cohen met with students as well as Leipzig's Fulbright Professor Benjamin Alpers, American guest professor Paul Rundquist, and Political Science Professor Sigrid Meuschel to reflect on the year 1968 and its impact. They discussed what happened in the U.S. and Europe in that critical year, and how events in that year shaped larger political changes and trends.
