December 15, 2008. Leipzig Consul for Public Affairs James Seward met the director and staff of the Chemnitz Industrial History Museum (CIM). The Chemnitz museum is featuring a big exhibit on the history of space exploration entitled "Space Ship CIM - Underway in the Universe". The exhibit is filled with mementos from the U.S. space program, and looks forward to plans for exploration of the Moon and Mars later in the century. Consul Seward looks forward to further projects in 2009, which will mark the 40th anniversary of Neil "Buzz" Armstrong's first step on the moon on July 20, 1969. During his visit, Seward also gave a presentation on the recent U.S. presidential election for two high school classes from Georgius Agricola Gymnasium.
