Leipzig Consul General Part Of Business Dialog

November 12, 2008. Leipzig Consul General Katherine Brucker  attended her first Investors Roundtable (Investorenstammtisch) in Saxony-Anhalt, a regular gathering of local politicians and representatives from regional companies in the three German states in Leipzig’s consular district. The event in Bitterfeld – as usual organized by local Radio SAW – focused on business developments at EverQ, a major solar enterprise in Thalheim (Saxony-Anhalt) with partial U.S. ownership, and the impact of the financial crisis in the region. Leipzig Consul General Katherine Brucker underscored Saxony-Anhalt’s attractiveness as a business location and pointed out that 250 U.S. companies have created 38,000 jobs in the state since 1990.
