May 20, 2008. Supported by the Consulate General Leipzig, U.S. historian Prof. Sarah Brown (Florida Atlantic University/Charles University Prague) continued this year’s Fulbright lecture series at Leipzig University with a presentation on the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Bill. The series on U.S. history, policy and culture, which was launched May 6 by Prof. Murry Nelson (Penn State University/University of Debrecen), brings American Fulbright professors from European universities to eastern Germany and will be enriched by seminars conducted by Leipzig staff. A total of 150 students attended both lectures.
