Graduates of the American Studies Program at Leipzig University

April 17, 2008. The newest generation of graduates from Leipzig University’s American Studies program was honored with a festive ceremony. The event was hosted by the American Studies Alumni Association with support by Consulate General Leipzig. Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig spoke to the graduates and approx. 80 guests in attendance, and stressed that intercultural skills and profound knowledge of the U.S. can be applied in various fields of work. The event strengthened cooperation between Consulate General Leipzig, the American Studies Alumni Association and the American Studies Institute, about which Professor Anne Koenen also delivered remarks.
