Klingenthal Students Visit Consulate

Consul Mark Wenig talks to the Klingenthal students

December 13, 2007. A group of 12 students and their teacher from the Julius Mosen Sports High School (Gymnasium) traveled to Leipzig from southern Thuringia to meet with Consul for Public Affairs Mark Wenig, who gave a presentation on the Consulate’s activities and the current U.S. presidential campaign.  The students came from a special sports school, which is a part of the Gymnasium located in Klingenthal, a regional winter sports center, and none had ever been to the U.S.  Among the topics which interested them were Iraq, climate change, immigration policy and various aspects of life in the U.S.
